Linport: About

The Linport Project is dedicated to creating the Language Interoperability Portfolio (Linport), a free and open vendor-independent format for packaging translation materials. This format addresses the entire Authoring, Translation and Publishing Chain (ATP-Chain), although the present emphasis is primarily on translation.

The Linport Project was created by merging the Multilingual Electronic Dossier and the Container Project.

Linport is hosted by the Localization/Translation and Authoring Consortium (LTAC). LTAC became the host organization for the Linport Project when the Multilingual Electronic Dossier Project and Container Project merged in July 2011.
